Living Don Bosco’s Dream Today, the international photographic competition launched by Museo Casa Don Bosco’s Ana Martín García, curator of the upcoming temporary exhibition, ran from January to March 25, 2024 .

The competition attracted 65 outstanding entries from artists in various countries throughout the Salesian world.

From these, 17 winning photographs were chosen to form part of exhibition. They will be displayed with the description provided by their respective authors. The photographs arriving from Salesian realities around the world will be proudly welcomed “home” at Casa Don Bosco.

The winners photographs, listed in alphabetical order according to their title in the work’s original language, are:

  • Il perdono direttamente da Dio (Forgiven directly by God), by Marco Navach, Lombardia-Emiliana Province (ILE), Italy.
  • La alegría no distingue de banderas (Joy without boundaries), by Juan Miguel Bermejo, Maria Ausiliatrice Province (SMX), Spain.
  • La Fratellanza (Brotherhood), by Camilla Cirulli, Lombardia-Emiliana Province (ILE), Italy.
  • Uno sguardo verso l’alto (Looking to the heights), by Lorenzo Malavendo, Special Circumscription, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and Lithuania (ICP), Italy.

  • Strade d’Angola (Streets of Angola), by Elisa Crestani, Italy North East Province (INE), Italy.
  • Transformando vidas a través de la fe y el acompañamiento (Transforming lives through faith and accompaniment); Mirada de Esperanza (Through hopeful eyes) and Transformados por el amor: el legado de Don Bosco (Transformed by love: the legacy of Don Bosco), by Jorge Luis Bastidas Rojas, St. Luke Province (VEN), Venezuela.
  • Un tocco di speranza (Touched by Hope), by Lindsay Gremmy Gonzales Gonzales, Special Circumscription, Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta and Lithuania (ICP), Italy.

These photographs immortalize moments, people and places across the planet where Don Bosco’s dream continues to inspire. 

During the inaugural ceremony for the temporary exhibition the winning photographers will receive a Certificate of Recognition from Fr. Michael Pace, Visits Coordinator at Museo Casa Don Bosco.

Winners who cannot attend the inauguration will receive their certificates by post.
