At nine years of age, John Bosco had a dream that changed his life for ever. Over the years, that same dream has transformed the lives of thousands of young people through salesian youth ministry all over the world. Do you have an artistic eye? This competition invites you to submit your original photographs that capture how Don Bosco’s dream is a reality in your Salesian work.

Winning photographs will capture how the dream of nine years continues to inspire the “transformation of wolves into lambs”, perhaps at your school, oratory, church, summer camp or on a volunteer missionary experience.

Photos need to communicate the relevance and vitality of the dream today and be accompanied by brief and meaningful reflection.

A selection committee will chose between twelve photos and twenty-four photos to be included in a temporary exhibition at Casa Don Bosco House to celebrate the bicentennial of the 9-year-old dream. Our dream is to display at Casa Don Bosco here in Valdocco
how this inspired dream is being lived in Don Bosco’s many salesian homes around the world.

Participation in this competition if free of charge and open to all. Photographs will be adjudicated on the quality of their artistic, creative and thought provoking merits.
